Not every project needs a full design engagement. Sometimes you have a specific question — a struggling tree, a difficult side yard, a phased plan you want a second opinion on. That's what the consultation is for.
You get an on-site visit, a walk of the property, real horticultural feedback, and — if useful — a written recommendation. If you decide to engage us for design or install, the $250 credits toward that work.

A $250 on-site visit. We walk your property together, look at what's there, and answer real horticultural questions. If you engage us for design or install, the $250 credits toward that engagement.
Why is the consultation paid?
It filters out tire-kickers and pre-qualifies the visit. You get real information from a real horticulturist for an hour or more — that's worth paying for, and it means Cam isn't giving away his day.
What if I just have questions and don't want a design?
That's the consultation. You can hire us for that alone. No pressure to engage further.
